This Never Gets Old

So at this point all most of y'all have seen comedian Zach Galifianakis' parody of Kanye West's "Can't Tell Me Nothing" and pretty much know that it is cinematic gold. If you haven't here it is below:

Well before there was that there was the parody--more like homage--to Anita Baker's* "You Bring Me Joy."

Since my friend Jason sent it to me I have been watching it constantly.

Today I got down to only two viewings.

Enjoy.

*Um just to prove that I'm a middle aged woman, JBlack and I went to see Anita Baker a few months ago at Radio City for our "10 year friendship" anniversary. Bitch killed it.

The end.

Stalker 101

Ewww chile. This right here is all that is needed to get better legislation on "anti-stalking laws." I mean for real, Rebecca Schaeffer's death should not have been in vain.

Britney, just go back to Louisiana...your Grandmama will take you in and help with them babies

Man, watching her "comeback" performance at the VMA's was just sad and embarassing.

The feeling I got from watching that made me think that this is what waterboarding feels like. But more traumatic. I mean the cutaway to 50 Cent sort of screamed, "Oh lord Jesus, the bullet I still got lodged in my face is way less painful than this. Why am I here? BINGO! Oh shit...I must have blanked out for a minute and thought I was in Boca Raton at some bad dinner theater. Like I was saying, please get old girl off the stage now this ain't funny..."

Wow. Just wow.

And god GOD...how HUGE is Dr. Dre now?! Brother looked like the blick Carrot Top. You know he is ready if Suge rolls up on his ass. Just saying.

Gumbo and the Gospel

It's Friday night and I'm home writing an article that I have been slacking on for weeks now. But that is not the point. The point is that I'm heating up some gumbo my mama* made and brought from Cali--when she visited me and the mister for her 60th b'day (holler, old girl looks good, for real)--and listening to some Al Green. Shit, this is gunna be a hot evening. Try not to be too jealous.

Love and Happiness,
Lil e

*My mom is from Mobile, Alabama, you know this stuff is good. Just saying.
