Music I'm Not Mad At

Shoot, I like to share. I'm like Mother Theresa and Oprah that way.

Rilo Kiley-Under The Blacklight: I have a crush on Jenny Lewis. Might be cause she has that pretty red hair, like my swoon worthy friend Miss Tanya
Queens of the Stone Age-Era Vulgaris: If I mention my unhealthy obsession with this band one more time I've crossed over into, "Oh, she is just sad" territory. I don't need that. At least not today. What I need are better tickets than what I got for their show in October. Goddamn bullshit pre-sales...
M.I.A.-Kala: She better work. I love immigrants that can get their political booty shake on. "World Town" is just stupid good
All Night Chemists-This is my friend Len's band. Usually I have to lie about friend's musical projects and say the shit is good when it makes me want to sever a friendship instead of seeing them play out. This case don't have to. Makes my heart warm
Ravens and Chimes-Reichenbach Falls: It's like Arcade Fire and The New Pornographers had a baby. Just listen to the track "January" and get back to me
Herbie Hancock-Head Hunters: Cause it's never not on fire. Double shoot...

Oh, and on a music related note: read the Anthony Kiedis autobiography, Scar Tissue. Have to say it, shit was hella entertaining. There is nothing I love better than reading about a musician's dark--yet amusing--decent into drugs. It's like getting to play with a basket full of puppies for me..just heartwarming.
