I'll say it now...I love Sinead O'Connor's first album, The Lion and the Cobra, it's pure brilliance but I'm ready to put the smack down. Girl, feel free to rip up picture of the Pope until the saints come marching home but back off of Prince...that is just blasphemous. Damn.

SINEAD DISSES PRINCE
At Chicago's Vic Theatre on Tuesday night during her supporting tour for "Throw Down Your Arms," an album of reggae covers, SINEAD O'CONNOR made clear her determination to no longer perform the music that made her famous. Backed by Jamaican masters SLY AND ROBBIE and a six-piece band, O'Connor -- introduced as "Sister Sinead" -- shunned songs like her Number One hit "Nothing Compares 2 U," written by PRINCE. When an audience member called out "Prince!," O'Connor snapped, "Fuck that fucking midget!" The singer's reggae tour wraps February 28th in San Francisco.
